Why should I choose you, The Law Office of Eric E. Partovi?
You will have access to me, the attorney, on demand, even on the weekends. A lot of other law firms, especially those "big billboard" law firms have a lot of legal assistants and case managers that you will have to deal with. To those other firms, you are just another file number on their desk. With me, we will build a personal relationship. You will have a lot of questions and I will always be available to answer them. I have learned that communication is important and I understand what the client deserves and expects out of their attorney.
Are there hidden fees?
No. My attorney's fees are fixed. The only time it changes is dependent on whether a lawsuit is filed. However, there are expenses related to the case that our office will front the costs and those costs will be subtracted from the gross final settlement.
Do you ask for my credit card or banking information?
Never.
What if I can't afford medical treatment or don't have health insurance?
In many cases, we can refer you to medical professionals who may offer services on a "lien basis." Meaning, you won't have any upfront payments to receive treatment.
Can I afford you as my personal injury attorney?
Absolutely. The attorney's fees are a contingency fee basis. That means that The Law Office of Eric E. Partovi will never charge you legal fees until we win your case and you are compensated. That means, no additional bills while we are building your case. The attorney's fees will be deducted from the gross recovery of the final settlement.
Do you have attorney's fees for getting my car repaired?
Never. The Law Office of Eric E. Partovi will help coordinate and provide guidance regarding your vehicle and will never take attorney's fee for your vehicle. The attorney's fees will only be taken out of the bodily injury portion of your case.
Do I need to contact the DMV after an accident?
Under California Law, if there is an injury or death or property damage over $1,000.00, you have 10 days to file an SR-1 with the DMV. Failure to do so can result in your license being suspended.
Should I call the police if I was involved in an accident?
It is always a good idea to contact the police. However, lately, the police may not come out if all parties are cooperating and they believe it may be a low impact accident.
How long does the process take?
It depends on your injuries and how much treatment you need. However, most car accident cases take approximately 6 months to 1 year to resolve. However, if a lawsuit is filed, the process can take 1 to 3 years, or longer, to resolve.
